Cross-country skiing clothing

It is important that your pants and jacket protect you against the wind because when you get in higher speeds, it will get colder quickly. At the same time, cross country skiing is intense and you will need to get rid of the excess heat. Your clothes should therefore have a ventilating back and a windproof front. For active skiers in milder temperatures it can be enough with a base layer in polyester but most times, merino wool is the best choice. It will never get cold even if you will get sweaty or wet.
