On, or On Running is a Swiss brand that mainly produces running shoes. The founder, Olivier Bernhard, wanted to get more cushioning in the landing without losing the bounce at the push off. He then cut garden hose into pieces and glued under the sole to provide cushioning . This is how the idea for On Running's design on shoes and soles was born.
